Visitors to Alcatraz Island can now enjoy a short nature trail on the south side of "The Rock". The Agave Nature Trail begins under the old Warden's house and skirts the south end of Alcatraz Island affording beautiful views of the Bay Area. True to its name, the trail is lined with Agave plants

Carefully constructed stone stairs lead visitors down from the trailhead to San Francisco bay
