Stewardship

The cultural and natural resource protection ethic of employing the most effective concepts, techniques, equipment, and technology to prevent, avoid, or mitigate impacts that would compromise the integrity of park resources. This often grows from an understanding of and respect for the principles of the National Park System and the needs of the park’s natural, social, and cultural environment.

Stewardship takes many forms including taking measures to protect the land.
